A fan of Yankee Candles has been kind enough to allow me to share with you photos of their recent trip to a Yankee Candle Flagship store in Williamsburg!

Please beware, these photos can make you dangerously jealous if you are a resident of the UK.

Check out the fantastic photographs below...

Entrance to the flagship store!

NEW!! Additions to the Man Candle Range, On Tap & Camouflage!

Can you believe this?! Cherry Chocolate, Pink Lemonade & Chocolate Sprinkle dippers in a YC Store!
And of course not forgetting the fantastic Treasure (Chocolate Truffle) and the new Q2 Release (Coconut & Vanilla Bean)
Why don't Yankee Candle UK celebrate Easter like the US?!
LOOK ITS PEEPS!

I'm sure many will agree than one day we wish and hope to have a store like this in the UK and if Yankee improve the range and increase the quality of products it could happen!!

Until then I suppose we can dream...

Yankee Candle US vs UK (Quarter Two) Part 2...

          VS

Welcome to part 2 of UK vs US Quarter 2 Releases, today I will be evaluating Sea Coral, Coconut & Vanilla Bean
and Cinnamon Vanilla!

I have had the pleasure of trying all 3 of these myself and can say they are fabulous, Yankee really have captured
the essence of summer throughout these! SubCat_2EAS14_730x247_NEWSummer_SummerFragrances

Coconut & Vanilla Bean
So creamy and luscious. . . pure coconut and warm vanilla create the ultimate island treat.
Review: This fragrance really reminds me of a recent release in the UK, Black Coconut which has similar notes as this one however the coconut notes are a lot stronger and really make this fragrance all round yummy! Throw Level 2.

Sea Coral
Like gliding along a tropical reef, this unique watery fresh fragrance surrounds you in the soothing warmth of sea musk.
Review: A lot of people include myself compare this fragrance to Cozy Sweater, a very popular US Fragrance however there are a number of notes that make the difference. Such as a salty musk note which really makes this the perfect summer fragrance, Yankee have hit big with this one! Throw Level 2.

Cinnamon Vanilla
This irresistible blend of ground cinnamon and rich vanilla is inspired by the refreshing horchata, a popular drink.
Review: This one has really taken me by surprise. I am not a fan of Cinnamon scented candles in any way however this one really brings out the best in the note. It is not over powering and the contrast with the vanilla is perfect. I would love to see similar notes in a fragrance named 'Cinnamon Latte' how nice would that be! Throw Level 3.

Throw Levels, 1 being not very good, 2 moderate throw enough to fill a small to
medium sized room, 3 very strong throw can fill a small home.

I hope you have enjoyed part 2 of US vs UK! Keep your eyes peeled for more reviews on some retired and treasured fragrances!

Yankee Candle US vs UK (Quarter Two) Part 1...

          VS

All the hardcore Yankee fans like myself will know that the american side of the company get much better scents,
deals and variety, However this quarter the UK have released some truly great scents the Americans will be jealous
of! (That's a first)
The All New Fruit-a-licious!
Sweet Apple, Orange Splash & Black Plum Blossom along with 2 Limited Editions, Margarita Time & Citrus Tango, which the us have released (surprise, surprise)

Fruitalicious

Sweet Apple
The sugary sweet crispness of a perfectly ripe apple fresh from the orchard.
Review: I really enjoy this fragrance as I am a great lover of Macintosh and Granny Smith Yankees. However I feel as this has quite a few similarities to a seasonal favourite sugared apple, I sometimes expect this and don't see enough differences for it to be called another fragrance name, although saying that I really adore the crisp apple notes. Throw Level 2.

Orange Splash
Like a burst of golden sunshine the bright, sparkling aroma of juicy, just picked oranges.
Review: I have been waiting a long time for Yankee to bring a great orange fragrance to the UK and I can positively say this is better than I expected, it's absolutely mouth watering! The citrus notes in this fragrance really make this the perfect summer fragrance whilst sipping on a iced beverage! (Iced Latte in my case). Throw Level 3.

Black Plum Blossom
The deliciously enticing nectar of beautiful black plum blossoms with hints of white musk and vanilla.
Review: Last but most definitely not least, Black Plum Blossom. This has to be my favourite out of these 3 fragrances, I always have adored musk notes in almost any fragrance and this perfectly compliments the plum and vanilla in this all round fantastic fragrance! Throw Level 3.

Throw Levels, 1 being not very good, 2 moderate throw enough to fill a small to
medium sized room, 3 very strong throw can fill a small home.

I hope you have enjoyed part 1 of US vs UK, tomorrow I shall be reviewing the US Q2Releases!

Blueberry Scone vs Blueberry Muffin

VS

Firstly, Welcome to oh so heavenly! A new blog set up by a major Yankee Candle fan, discussing and reviewing many different candle companies and also keeping on top of the latest fragrance releases!

Ok, so today I am reviewing these 2 GORGEOUS fragrances, Blueberry Scone (Yankee Candle) and Blueberry Muffin (Village Candle). A lot of Yankee Candle fans will say... "How can you even compare Yankee Candle to Village Candle" and "Look at the difference in the quality of appearance" and the list goes on, however, I choose my candles mainly for the throw in the fragrance and not always the appearance and reputation of the brand. Even though the appearance of Village Candles could do with a bit of improvement!

Blueberry Scone - Yankee Candle (Left)

Appearance: I can never fault the appearance of Yankee Candles especially with this mouthwatering picture of a beautiful blueberry scone, cream and fresh blueberries!
Throw (Fragrance): The fragrance its self is very strong and has a lovely burn (with illumalid) however I don't find a huge difference between blueberry scone and blueberry. I would prefer more of a contrast.

Blueberry Muffin - Village Candle (Right)

Appearance: Village Candles new décor range has a lovely attractive picture and uniqueness on the front however these premium range jars could really do with a graphics update, I'm sure you will agree with me on that one!
Throw (Fragrance): This fragrance is absolutely gorgeous and is one of my favourite candle scents EVER! Equal scent of blueberry to the mouth watering smell of a freshly baked muffin.

Both candles above have pro's and con's but overall the winner for me would be Blueberry Muffin by Village Candle!
